Jason Day makes caddie change at PGA BMW

Luke Reardon will make his debut this week as caddie for Jason Day, but his time on the bag could be short-lived thanks to some paperwork issues. Day said Wednesday at the BMW Championship that Swatton will stay Day's swing coach, a position he's held since the 29-year-old Day was 12 years old.

Per Golf Channel, Day and Reardon have been friends for years, dating back to rooming together at Hills College, a live-in golf academy when Day still lived in Australia.

Swatton has been more than just Day's instructor and caddie. He also concurrently existed as Day's swing coach as well, but it appears Reardon is getting a shot as his looper.

After 15 die in hepatitis outbreak, San Diego begins sanitary street washing
Health officials in San Diego County said the disease is spreading "through contact with a fecally contaminated environment". Crews will clean the streets again Wednesday and Friday, and then again every other week to attempt to control the outbreak.

For now, Day will use a friend this week to replace Swatton with a different acquaintance possibly taking his place at the Presidents Cup. "If that doesn't work out, I don't like the way I work with these guys, then maybe a bag shift for next year". Like I said, he was an awesome caddie, wonderful coach, incredible person.

"I'm going to kind of see how the rest of this year goes with whoever is on the bag, see if I can actually get something going", Day said.

"It may be somewhere down the road where four months from now - I don't even know how long it will be - but I can come back to him and say, 'Look, man, I made a mistake and I need to come back and have you on the bag, '" Day said. "I have no one to blame other than myself", Day said.

It's a bit of an odd switch for Day, who has not had the greatest season.

"He came over [and] my buddy Andy got him a job roofing". Day, wanting to finish the year strong, figured he finally had to pull the trigger after marinating about a change in his mind for so long. He enters the week 28th in the FedEx Cup points standings; the top 30 advance to the season finale at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta. On the bright side, Day has a win and a T4 in two trips to Conway Farms, so he should be very comfortable navigating the course this week. Sep.
