Manpower: Hiring perspectives are expected to improve in Romania

As many as 24% of 5,005 employers surveyed across India forecast an increase in staffing levels, 4% anticipate a decrease and 56% expect no change, resulting in a Net Employment Outlook of 20%.

The ManpowerGroup Employment Outlook Survey, based on interviews with 11,500 employers in the US and the 100 largest metropolitan areas, said 21 percent of Wichita area employers expect to increase staff levels in the three-month period ending December 31.

After three consecutive quarters of sluggishness, hiring will start growing in the October-December quarter but at a much slower pace compared with the same period past year, a survey by staffing company ManpowerGroup showed. Unlike in Q2 and Q3, when employers were reporting hiring intentions regardless of their sector of activity, negative Outlooks are now reported for two sectors: "Electricity, Gas and Water Supply and Transport, Storage and Communications, and in five of the eight regions and five of ten sectors employers have tempered their hiring plans compared to last quarter", said Igor Hahn, Country Manager, ManpowerGroup Romania.

'We have no winter break, but I love it,' says Mourinho
There's no question about that - the quality that they have and what they've been building over the last few years. I expect Mourinho to play a strong side and as a result that could mean a hard outing for FC Basel .

Across the United Kingdom as a whole, the index reading has increased by one over the past three months to plus six, helped by the biggest increase in hiring intentions among public sector employers since 2015. Hiring intentions increase by four percentage points in the Northeast and are relatively stable in three regions.

All regions in the United States reported positive fourth-quarter hiring plans. Once the data is adjusted to allow for seasonal variation, the Outlook stands at 19%, according to the ManpowerGroup Employment Outlook Survey released on Tuesday.

Employers in Delaware, North Carolina, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Montana, Oregon, South Carolina and Utah report the strongest net employment outlooks. It asks whether employers intend to hire additional workers or reduce the size of their workforce in the coming quarter.

In Romania, the present survey was conducted by InfoCorp Ltd. between July 19 and August 1 on a representative sample of 625 employers. The highest hiring prospects are reported in the Services sector, with a Net Employment Outlook of +23 percent, and in the Transportation & Utilities sector, with Outlook at +20 percent. The steepest quarter-on-quarter decline, however, is reported in the Northeast region, where the +2% Net Employment Outlook weakens over Q3/2017 by 18 percentage points.

"Such signs of increased caution are often associated with a changing regulatory environment, which may induce employers to adopt a wait-and-see approach as they calibrate their budgets and staff needs", the official said. Meanwhile, the most cautious regional Outlook of +7 percent is reported in the East.
