Governor Rick Scott also urged employers in Florida on Friday to "be compassionate with your employees as they prepare for this storm and evacuate", according to Snopes.

Hurricane Irma brought floodwaters to Jacksonville, Fla.

A photo of a memo from the manager at a Jacksonville location began circulating on Twitter on Sunday.

FEMA is advising people in the storm's path to "only return home when local officials say it's ok".

Apple TV 4K Has Finally Been Launched
That makes it twice as fast as the fourth-gen Apple TV and with four times the graphics performance, according to Apple. Apple also announced that it will team up with Netflix and Amazon Prime Video for 4K HDR original content on iTunes.

"Our No. 1 priority is the safety and security of our team", the first line of the memo read. "With that said, I/we need some guidelines in place to ensure both of those expectations are met".

The manager emphasized the workers have a "responsibility and commitment" to the community, and employees who needed to evacuate would receive only a 24-hour "grace period" before the storm and then would be required to return to the city within 72 hours of an evacuation.

"Failure to show for these shifts, regardless of reason, will be considered a no call/no show and documentation will be issued", it read.

"We are uncompromising in our commitment to the safety and well-being of our team members", the company wrote on its website.

Gareth Bale Might Celebrate If He Scores Against Spurs
But the former Tottenham winger has claimed that he wants to win more silverware with Real rather than attracting individual stardom.

"To all Team members", the memo begins, before laying out a policy that dictates that employees can not evacuate more than 24 hours before the storm and must return within 72 hours.

A statement on Pizza Hut's site didn't include a formal apology, but they did attempt to distance themselves from the drama by mentioning the Jacksonville location was a franchise store with its own rules.

Hurricane Irma has so far claimed the lives of 10 Americans and a further 38 people across the Caribbean.

In a statement to USA TODAY, Pizza Hut spokesman Doug Terfehr called the memo an "isolated incident by an employee who showed very poor judgement", and said the franchise's operator addressed the manager over the issue.
