This news comes from a report from the AFTV Fire TV news site, which states that both will offer 4K streaming. It's now unknown when Amazon plans to launch its refreshed Fire TV devices, but interestingly enough the new Fire TV Stick looks to have taken some inspiration from Google's 2nd Gen. Chromecast, as it sports a similarly-styled HDMI plug that dangles at the end of cord instead of being one solid unit. The former will cost somewhere between $60 and $80, while the latter will be priced at more than $100. It will be a mid-tier model positioned between the existing Fire TV Stick and a new top-tier model. Those specs make it slightly more powerful than the current 2nd-gen Fire TV Stick, but still notably less powerful than the current 2nd-gen Fire TV. That means users should be able to speak to the box to play music, movies, TV shows, check the weather and the like.

Branson said the government's response to the Hurricane - which has been highly criticised - has led to "worrying reports of civil unrest".
The new flagship Fire TV is also said to come with an IR emitter, so will be able to control other entertainment kit in the room.
But even though Amazon has no obvious reason to mark down its entry-level in-house Android-powered gear, Prime members can save a pretty penny through Saturday on the "all-new" Fire 7 and Fire HD 8 slates again. A speaker built into the Fire TV allows you to hear responses from Alexa if your television is turned off.
