Jaguar "Future-Type" Concept Pushes the Limits of Autonomous Technology

"We're looking forward to the reaction of our clients as we investigate bringing this concept to market", said Jaguar Land Rover Classic's director, Tim Hannig.

The company made the pledge on Thursday while its CEO, Dr Ralf Speth, was taking part in a series of debates and discussions about the future of mobility at the inaugural Tech Fest event in London.

From 2020, all new Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles will have some form of electric motor. A pair of exciting, electric concept vehicles were also revealed. Ranges will be available in fully electric, plug-in hybrid and mild hybrid versions, with the first fully electric Jaguar I-PACE going on sale next year.

Jaguar promises that these autonomous EVs will help make roads safer, as the FUTURE-TYPE will coordinate with other vehicles on the road to avoid collisions.

The British luxury motor company has equipped a prototype of its E-type sports auto with a fully electric engine. It was engineered by Jaguar Classic at the company's new Classic Works in Warwickshire, UK.

Back down to reality, the company is preparing for the I-Pace - which it showed off at the LA Auto Show previous year - to hit showrooms in 2018.

Destiny 2 Has Over 1.2 Million Players
The first game arrived on previous gen consoles like PS3 and Xbox 360 along with PS4 and Xbox One . Earlier this week, Bungie mentioned that "millions" of players were already playing the game.

Jaguar Land Rover's announcement is perfectly timed, coming just weeks after France and the United Kingdom both pledged to eradicate the sale of gasoline and diesel cars by 2040. It'll be completely autonomous, but is also drivable for when you're not stuck in traffic.

At its heart is Sayer - the intelligent steering wheel that will revolutionise the way you live your life. The company envisions the wheel being, in some cases, the only part of the vehicle a person might own in the future - with the rise of on-demand service clubs, such as Lyft, into which it recently invested $25 million.

Sayer knows what's in your fridge and can even order your shopping or a pizza. The board is a partnership with SkunkWorks Surf Co., and has been nicknamed "Waste to Wave", with Land Rover deciding to allow testing by English Women's Open Surfing Champion, Lucy Campbell, off the coast of Northern Ireland.

The vehicle was unveiled at the Jaguar Land Rover Tech Fest in London on Wednesday, but as yet there is no statement about how many will be produced and at what price. Fans interested in an engineering career at Jaguar Land Rover are invited to the physical "pop-up" version of the Gorillaz garage to take part in a live challenge to test their technical ability, logical-thinking and memory. "We think this is essential as it ensures a period Jaguar remains authentic to its DNA".
