11-year old girl made to stand in boys' toilet as punishment for wearing inappropriate uniform

The class V student was allegedly humiliated by a non-teaching staff member for not wearing the school uniform. Her parents had written a note to her teachers asking them to excuse her for the day, according to NDTV.

"The PT teacher caught me on my way to my class on the first floor".

In a video shot by the girl's father, she looks shaken and scared. Newsminute reports that the traumatised girl has since refused to go to school.

Child Rights Association President P Achyuta Rao said the girl's father approached him with the complaint on Sunday. After the incident came into limelight, child rights activists demanded a case against the teacher and also intends to write to the Human Rights Commission.

The incident occurred on Saturday in Rao's High School in Ramchandrapuram on the outskirts of Hyderabad but came to light on Monday after a video of the girl describing the sequence of the events went viral. DEOs said that as per the regulations of the Children's Rights Act, action will be taken on the school management.
