ITV HITTING BACK Chloe slammed the people who doubted her story

"Michal Konrad Herba, 36, was apprehended at an address in the Tividale area of Birmingham on a European Arrest Warrant issued by the Italian authorities".

The brother of the man suspected of being behind the alleged kidnapping of British model Chloe Ayling has been arrested in the West Midlands.

The 20-year-old model broke down in tears this week as she told of the moment she saw an empty suitcase and hoped for a "non-painful death" as she feared she'd be killed.

His brother, 30-year-old Lukasz Herba, has already been arrested and charged with kidnapping Ms Ayling for extortion purposes in Italy. Lukasz Herba is accused of demanding a ransom for her.

Reports in the United States suggested filming could be stopped from anywhere between six weeks and three months. He knew in that instant, 'Well, we're not coming back here. "We're not doing this again today".

He did not apply for bail and his full extradition hearing will now take place on 25 September. "No evidence has been served in this case".

Michal Herba was arrested in a joint operation by West Midlands Police and East Midlands Special Operations Unit (EMSOU) and is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates Court on 17 August.

Her lawyer said the plot was to sell the model for sex in an online auction unless a $300,000 ransom was paid.

Deputy Senior District Judge Tan Ikram remanded the suspect in custody, saying he was satisfied there were "substantial grounds" to believe he would fail to surrender if he was released.

Ayling, 20, arrived in Lombardy on 10 July, and the following day went for what she thought would be a photo session.

She said: "I can't help but blame him because my mum said that when she called him and said that I was missing she was urging him to check out the studio and the number of the photographer to see if I turned up to the shoot and the next day he was able to check the studio didn't exist".

Italian police documents claim that suspect Lukasz Herba said he had got involved in order to raise money for cancer treatment.
