Today's Google Doodle teaches you to scratch and mix turntables

Hip-Hop is a mix of music and rap and is immensely popular till the date.

Kool Herc, an 18-year-old Jamaican-American DJ, was playing a set at 1520 Sedgwick Avenue in the Bronx, New York, and made a decision to do something a little different. "During his set, he chose to do something different", Google writes about how the music genre came to be.

He noticed the crowd went wild whenever he played an instrumental section, instead of the whole song. The mad crowd danced longer as rhymes were added by his friend Coke La Rock. DJ Kool Herc turning tables.

Once you click on the doodle, you'll be taken on a brilliant tutorial which ends with the ability to chose records, place them on turntables, and mix them. Once you choose your vinyl and get it going on the turntable, you start unlocking more information by reaching various goals.
